An Ahwazi school student suicided after being punished by a Persian teacher

Ahwazi children and their disastrous circumstances under Iranian occupation

A 12-year-old student in Houweyzeh city, northwest of Ahwaz capital, committed suicide and ended his life after being punished by a Persian teacher on Monday the 25th of December 2017.

Reliable source quoted to Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights (ACHR) that the student named as Elias Sharifi (picture), who were studying in the city of Khafajiya (Susangerd) and was sentenced by a Persian teacher on Monday morning to fine (writing more homework than usual), after returning to his home and by using his mother’s scarf committed suicide and passed away.

Despite the child’s mother’s efforts to save his life, the student lost his life, minutes after arriving at the clinic.

Mr. Kouti is one of the Houweyzeh’s clinic staff said “The body of the boy was sent to the city of Khafajiya (Susangerd), and police and legal practitioners are doing their investigation”.

In the similar context, an Arab child «Abbas Badawi» twelve year-old residents of «Alkhoways» village of the city of Susa, committed suicide on evening (Al-Ahwaz local time 8 PM) of Friday the 30th 0f December 2016 due the pressure, humiliation and beatings he received at the hands of the Persian’s teacher Sports «Mr. Hadi Abassi» in Susa’s primary school.

Schoolchildren’s punishment in Iran has been repeatedly several times. On November 4, 2017, along with the commemoration of the student day in Iran, students of a girl primary school in the suburbs of Ahwaz capital, speaking Arabic in class, were punished by the Persian teacher and forced to say write a hundred times the sentence ” Arabic talking in a classroom must be avoid at all time “.

Ahwazi activists reported that students from the” Hamza” girls’ elementary school in the village of “Beit Mohareb” in the suburbs of Ahwaz capital, for speaking Arabic, were insulted and punished by the school teacher named “Miss Shushtari”. they were asked to write a hundred times to “avoid speaking Arabic in classroom.”

Slapping Ahwazi Arab students led to tearing the of the student’s eardrum. The father of the student said: “2 days ago, my 12-year-old son, when he asked his classmate to change his place at the school, he got punished by the school’s moderator,” he said. Rahim Abdul Khani added: “The school’s moderator slapped him without any notice, while his son was in the queue, and this action caused the led to tearing the curtain of my 12-year-old son’s ear.”

 

Hadi Kaabi, a resident of Beit-e-Khadir village from Sha’ybieh district of Shoushtar (Tester), is one of the high school students who died due to the lack of high school in Sha’ybieh district and depravity of this region from the educational centers are forced to continue studying in Shoushtar city.

Hadi had to move 60 kilometers a day between his village and Shoushtar city by motorcycle. Unfortunately, on 14th of October, Hadi Kaabi died on the Sha’ybieh – Shoushtar route in Hamza’s junction in a crash with a Peugeot 206 car.

Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights (ACHR) has received video that shows Ahwazi Arab student’s harsh punishment by non-Arab teacher in a high school in the city of Susa a few days ago.

 

An Ahwazi Arab student in the district of Al-Janabi, south of Al-Ahwaz subjected to severe and barbaric torture by a Persian teacher and following this act was transferred to one of the Persian region’s hospital on 17-December 2014.

The Ministry of Intelligence of the Islamic Republic of Iran (also known as Ettela’at) arrested a 15 years old female student in Abadan.

On Tuesday 17th of October 2017 Ettela’at arrested Ma’edeh Sha’bani-Nejad (Amouri) born in 2003, a student from Abadan city. Also Ettela’at Sieged, searched and took Ma’edeh from Sha’bani-Nejad’s house.

Finally and according to the state-pro media, Ardeshir Shojaee the deputy director of Elementary Education stated that 30 thousands and 100 of Ahwazi apprentice could not enter preschool stage due to Iranian state carelessness and negligence in assigning appropriate financial investment.
