Urgent Appeal for Action

The Ahwaz Center for Human Rights urgently calls on international and humanitarian organizations to intervene and save the lives of Ahwazi prisoners who have endured decades of unjust imprisonment under the Iranian occupying regime.

These prisoners suffer inhumane conditions marked by systematic torture, deliberate medical neglect, and brutal treatment. Such practices represent blatant violations of international law and fundamental human rights.

The prisons where these atrocities occur resemble the infamous death camps of the Assad regime. The Iranian occupiers employ the same systematic methods of abuse and repression, demonstrating their deep-seated hostility toward Ahwazi prisoners. These individuals are stripped of their most basic human rights, including the right to a fair trial, access to healthcare, communication with their families, and even the right to live with dignity.

The Ahwaz Center for Human Rights calls upon the international community, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Iran to take swift and decisive action before it is too late. We demand:

1. Immediate and unconditional release of all Ahwazi prisoners and detainees.

2. Establishment of an international committee to investigate their detention conditions.

3. Accountability for those responsible for these ongoing atrocities.

The world’s silence in the face of this humanitarian catastrophe amounts to complicity with the perpetrators. It is imperative to save innocent lives and restore hope to thousands of families awaiting justice and freedom for their loved ones.
