A Visual Narrative of Systematic Cruelty Against the Ahwazi Arab Nation
Based on a video recently obtained by the Ahwazi Human Rights Center in the UK, two disabled brothers in Abadan lived under unbearable and inhumane conditions.
A home without air conditioning, temperatures exceeding 50 °C, and two vulnerable individuals slowly and silently fading under the scorching sun.
But that was only the beginning of the tragedy…
Due to the complete neglect of local authorities in Abadan, the house of these two brothers was entirely destroyed by fire, destroying all their belongings. All that remains is ash and suffering.
Despite having authority, local officials not only took no action but abandoned these oppressed individuals to their fate.
In a commendable and humane gesture, a group of conscientious and resilient Abadan residents—despite economic hardship—stepped in to help the two brothers. Yet, this assistance is only a temporary bandage on a deep wound intentionally inflicted by the central government and local authorities.
This video is not merely a painful portrait of poverty and helplessness—it is concrete evidence of a silent crime.
A regime that devours the wealth of the Ahwazi nation while withholding even the most basic necessities of life from the rightful owners of the land.
Our simple question is:
In a land from which the largest oil and gas resources are extracted, why are the disabled deprived of having a simple air conditioner?
Why must the Ahwazi Arab nation lose its loved ones to heat, poverty, homelessness, and fire, while billions of dollars of their wealth are spent funding the regime’s terrorist proxies in Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq, and Syria?
Is this the “Alawi justice” they once proclaimed everywhere?
Is this what “support for the oppressed” truly means, or is it the systematic impoverishment of a nation?
We say: this is not a humanitarian tragedy—it is a government-orchestrated crime.
Deprivation of infants from baby formula
Elimination of medical and support services for the disabled
Continuous humiliation of the Arab identity of the Ahwazi nation
Ahwazi Center for Human Rights has not only documented and recorded this imagery and testimony, but we are also presenting it as part of official human rights violation files against the authoritarian regime of Iran to international organizations, independent media, and human rights institutions.
We stand with these two disabled brothers and the entire Ahwazi Arab nation.
And until justice returns to this land, we will be the voice of this people…
