The densely populated villages of Mohareb and Farhan Kabar in the west of Karkheh are still facing numerous challenges, including a lack of educational, healthcare, and essential infrastructure facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite some development efforts in the 1990s that raised hopes for improvement among the residents, many of the basic needs of this area remain unmet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the biggest challenges these villages face is the lack of secondary schools, leading to dropout rates among boys and girls due to the long distances to schools. The nearest school is 11 kilometers away, and the road leading to it is rough and dangerous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the other hand, the absence of an emergency medical center (Emergency 115) in the region has caused serious problems for the residents. The only active emergency center in the city of Fateh al-Mobin was shut down after one year, leaving many people facing serious risks in emergencies due to losing critical rescue time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, the rugged and deteriorated Chenaneh roads, damaged during past wars, are further degraded during the rainy season. Landmines left behind from the Iran-Iraq war still pose a serious threat to the residents and travelers in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
