He announced the news on his\npersonal Instagram. He said, &#8220;This time I have been banned from working in\nmy hometown because of what I have said at Ahwaz and Karaj concerts &#8230; and\nbasically because of my perspective.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mehdi Yarahi, a pop music singer, posted a post on his Instagram page\nannouncing the ban on all his concerts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The report says that Mehdi Yarrahi has been banned from the Ministry\nof Guidance recently for speaking out about some of the issues at his recent\nconcerts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He is banned until the regime lift the ban from him. Worth noting that\nhis pre-issued licenses have been revoked. To date, He didn\u2019t speak of the\nrestrictions and disadvantages imposed on himself and other Ahwazi singers over\nthe past years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier, on 3<sup>rd<\/sup> of January 2019, also Mehdi Riahi was\nbanned and suspended from working by the Ministry of Culture and Guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mehdi Yarrahi performed at a concert in Aftab tapeh in Ahwaz, along\nwith all the members of the band in support of the steel workers detainees in the\ncompany workers&#8217; clothes. He had also announced the cancellation of his concert\nin Borujen which was due to take place in few weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\nauthorities must immediately stop their racist attitude towards Ahwazi citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We,\nthe Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights (ACHR), concerns, while Ahwazi Arabs faced\ncontinued oppression and discrimination, the most significant human rights\nissues included a high number of executions for false confession and false\ncrimes without fair trials of individuals. Torture; harsh and life-threatening\nprison conditions; arbitrary detention and imprisonment; of hundreds of\npolitical prisoners, are just few examples of how the Iranian regime violates\nthe human rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We, the Ahwazi Centre for\nHuman Rights (ACHR), strongly condemns Iran\u2019s plan to ban singer for their\nrights to express themselves. We are calling upon Mr. Javaid Rehman the United\nNations special rapporteur for situation of human rights in Iran and Mrs Agnes\nCallamard the UN special rapporteur on extra-Judicial execution to intervene and\nstopping Iranian criminal regime from executing innocent prisoners that were\narrested without any legal warrant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Hossein\nBouazar is a human rights activist from the Ahwaz region in Iran.
