Human Rights activist from Al-Ahwaz reported that eye witness from \u201cJoubeji\u201d village located in 7 KM, Southeast of Ramez (Ramhormoz) city has testified that the Iranian security forces were buried two Ahwazi martyrs (Hashem Shaabani, poet and Hadi Rashidi, engineer) in last winter.<\/p>\n
According to eyewitness, the revealed comes after 11 months of Shaabani and Rashidi\u2019s secret executions that had taken place in early January 2014.<\/p>\n
Shaabani and Rashidi were sentenced to death in January 2013 by Iranian revolutionary court with ready made charges like \u201cenemy with God\u201d, \u201cpropaganda against regime\u201d and \u201c threat to Iranian national security\u201d after months of physical and psychological torture to extract forced confessions from them.<\/p>\n

Hashem Shaabani and Hadi Rashidi were educated figures of the Ahwazi Arab people and formed \u201cAlhiwar\u201d or \u201cDialogue\u201d cultural institute to help poor Ahwazi Arab\u2019s student who cannot afford educational expense.<\/p>\n
Special Rapporteurs for the UNHCR have repeatedly condemned the use of torture and unfair trials against the Ahwazi Arabs.<\/p>\n
On 21 February 2014, Spokesperson for the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Ravina Shamdasani expressed her concerned about the reported execution, which has been carried out secretly of Mr Hadi Rashidi and Mr Hashem Shaabani Amouri, both members of the Ahwaz Arab people.<\/p>\n
She added \u201cTheir executions were reportedly carried out last month (January) following proceedings that did not meet international fair trial and due process standards, as laid out in article 14 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. The two men were reportedly sentenced to death on ill-defined charges of \u201cenmity against God\u201d (Moharebeh<\/em>), corruption on earth (Mofsid fil-arz<\/em>) and acts against national security. They were allegedly denied access to a lawyer and their families for the first nine months of their detention, and reportedly subject to torture to force confessions.
