Massive Fire at Fatemi Oil Distribution Station on Mina al-Tamimi – Abadan Route

In the early hours of Friday, April 4, 2025 (15 Farvardin 1404), a major fire broke out at the Fatemi oil distribution station located along the route between Mina al-Tamimi and the city of Abadan.

According to the CEO of the Abadan Fire Department, the blaze began when an oil tanker caught fire during refueling. Thanks to the efforts of emergency response teams, the fire was contained and prevented from spreading to other parts of the station.

Local sources reported that the explosion was so intense that the smoke could be seen from far away. Although the authorities of the occupying Iranian regime have claimed there were no casualties, the exact details of the incident have not yet been confirmed by independent sources.

This incident comes amid widespread neglect of oil infrastructure in the occupied region of Al-Ahwaz, particularly in areas such as Abadan, Mahshahr, and Mina al-Tamimi. This lack of safety and oversight has long been a point of protest among the Arab people of Al-Ahwaz, yet the occupying Iranian regime has taken no effective action to address these concerns.

The fire once again highlights the incompetence of the occupying system in safeguarding the lives and property of the Arab people, while the region’s oil wealth has for years been plundered by the regime—leaving behind poverty, environmental destruction, and insecurity for its residents.
