Arrest of an Ahwazi Arab young by the Iranian regime forces in the capital of Ahwaz
According to the reliable news received by the Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights (ACHR), the Iranian regime forces arrested Ahwazi Arab young named as Mr. Jalal Obeidawi son of Hassan in the district of Golestan and took him to an unknown location, on Saturday morning, the 8th of April 2017.
The source could not get more information about the detainee but noted that Mr. Jalal is cousin to three Ahwazi named as Qais Obeidawi, Ahmad Obeidawi and Sajjad Obeidawi that all under the age of twenty years and been arrested and executed by the Iranian security forces on 17th of August 2017.
The sources confirmed that, according to witnesses, they confirmed in their testimonies the brutality of the acts of torture that were carried out against the detainees by Iranian security forces, especially during the interrogation period, which sometimes extended for several months, and also talked about the difficult situation of the detainee in Ahwaz prisons, especially in terms of health where all detainees were suffering from chronic skin diseases and they also suffer from undernourishment.
Figures and statistics show that hundreds of Ahwazi Arab citizens are subjected to arbitrary detention every year by the Iranian regime’s intelligence elements. Numerous reports and testimonies of former detainees show that they were subjected to severe psychological and physical torture, which led to hundreds of them to deaths.
