Iranian intelligence services arrested four Ahwazi Arabs Sunni and a poet

The reliable sources from the family of Mr. Hazbawi informed to the Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights that the Iranian intelligence services arrested their brother Mr. Hatam Hazbawi 23 year-old and Mr. Sayed Mohammad Ali Mousavi 23 years-old from Gala’a Kana’an area, Mr. Ahmad Marei son of Abdolamir 22 years-old from Gala’a Kana’an area and Hossein Taie from Alawi district in Al-Ahwaz on Monday 29th September 2014.

According to the sources, the Iranian intelligence services had arrested Hazbawi,Mousavi, Marei and Taie in charge of Sunni and propaganda against the regime. Iranian intelligence services have raided the homes of Ahwazi activists in early morning on Monday and took them to intelligence services custody without prior notice.

On the other hand and according to human rights activist from Al-Ahwaz, Iranian intelligence services has arrested Ahwazi poet Mr. Shanan shehetat (pictured) on Sunday 28th September 2014.

According to the sources, Mr. shehetat been arrested with charge of singing National epic poems for his friend’s wedding. Mr. shehetat suffering from heart disease. Sources added, “ Mr. shehetat has been ill-treated by intelligence services.”

Meanwhile the Iranian intelligence services has arrested an Ahwazi man named Ahmad khoshnamak son of Ali in early hours of the Thursday of 11 September 2014 without prior notice.despite of widen search from his family, but they could not find any answer about Ahmad.

The Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights strongly condemn the arrest of Hatam Hazbawi, Sayed Mohammad Ali Mousavi, Ahmad Marei, Hossein Taie and Ahmad Khoshnamak that taken without any legal permission from the court and calls for their release , and also condemned the Iranian ill treatment against Mr. Shanan shehetat .

Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights has also asked the international human rights organisation to put Iran under pressure to free all detainees from the Iranian intelligence services.
