Mr Silawi with age of 22 years and living in Mallashyeh district transferred to the Sheyban prison that is located in northeast of the Ahwaz capital after being informed with judgment where his family did not know about his transfer.

Reliable source quoted to Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights (ACHR) that the court sentenced Mr Silawi following his absence (not been informed) in the court without allowing him to be present at the hearing to look after the judgment, which shows the Iranian authorities’ violations against basic human rights in Al-Ahwaz as well as lack of transparency in the Iranian courts.

The Iranian security forces brutally attacked on the Ahwazi Arab citizen named as Ahmed Bureihi in the “Eghranah” area north of the Ahwaz capital, after raiding his house that lead to his death on Saturday the 22nd of May 2016.

These sources pointed out to ACHR that the elements of the Iranian security forces attacked the Ahwazi young man, “Ahmed Bureihi” beating on his head as a result of his refusal to break into his house randomly the led to his death immediately.

Eye witness quoted to ACHR that the security man named as “Haidari” has beaten Mr. Bureihi and from Khorramadab city and he has known also for his anti-Arab racism.

The Iranian security forces launched a wide range of arrests against Ahwazi Arabs in which four Ahwazis were arrested in different parts of the Ahwaz capital and took them to unknown location on Tuesday the 24th of May 2016.

The ACHR has received following names of Ahwazi Arabs’ detainees:

1)          Ahwazi preacher Mr Saeed Sayahi

2)        Rashid Zabi

3)        Aqil Koroshat

4)        Ja’far Obeidawi

There is no exact news about all detainees even though the detainees’ families follow up to most of the courts and security department, but there was no answer where it increases concerns and fear among detainees’ families.

Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights strongly condemns Iranian crackdown against Ahwazi Arab activists and calls upon human rights organizations to condemn Iranian vicious policies which is trying to impose its control on the Al-Ahwaz region through excessive repression in violation of all international norms and laws as well as to perform its obligations towards the suffering of the Ahwazi Arabs by the Iranian authorities.
