Increased number of Youth Death in Ahwaz

By Ali Bouazar

The virus that caused this epidemic is not going anywhere anytime soon and is constantly trying to survive in different types of forms, so policies to control and deal with the epidemic and people’s behavior has been a real disaster. There are no policies from the government to stop  the pandemic or the people’s movement.  is too early to comment on the effectiveness of the vaccine in Iran and Ahwaz.

Unfortunately, the new Covid variant, which has spread especially in the south and southwest of Al-Ahwaz, has mostly involved younger people. Given that the number of vaccines injected has not yet reached the mass level, it is too early to comment on the impact of vaccination on reducing the incidence

We, the Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights (ACHR), concerns, while Ahwazi Arabs faced continued oppression and discrimination, the most significant human rights issues included a high number of executions for false confession and false crimes without fair trials of individuals. Torture; harsh and life-threatening prison conditions; arbitrary detention and imprisonment; of hundreds of political prisoners, are just few examples of how the Iranian regime violates the human rights.

We are calling upon Mr. Javaid Rehman the United Nations special rapporteur for the situation of Covid-19 and human rights in Iran and Mrs Agnes Callamard the UN special rapporteur on extraJudicial execution to intervene and stop the Iranian criminal regime from executing innocent prisoners that were arrested without any legal warrant.
