Four Ahwazi activists transferred to Sepidar Prison in preparation for their execution

Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights received documented information on the evening of this Tuesday, October 15, about the Iranian authorities’ intention to carry out the death sentence against four Ahwazi activists.

Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights reported on Tuesday, October 15, that according to verified sources, the Iranian authorities plan to execute three Ahwazi activists in the coming days. They have been charged with fabricated accusations, following show trials and forced confessions.
The security authorities in the Ahwaz region transferred three Arab political prisoners from Sheyban Prison — Maeen Khenfari, Mohammad Reza Moqaddam, and Ali Mojadam — to Sepidar Prison in preparation for their execution. It is worth mentioning that Sepidar Prison is one of the largest prisons in the region, where executions have been carried out regularly in recent years.
Two of the three mentioned activists, Mohammad Reza Moqaddam and Maeen Khenfari, have been moved to solitary confinement (quarantine) in preparation for their execution, while Ali Mojadam has not yet been transferred. Nevertheless, the organization emphasized, based on its sources, that there is a high likelihood that he will also be moved in the coming days to be executed as well. According to official information, several other executions related to criminal charges, the details of which have not been disclosed by the authorities, have taken place in the Ahwaz region in recent days.
It is worth noting that in recent years, as protests against oppression, high prices, and the ruling regime have escalated across Iran, the number of executions in various cities has increased, aiming to intimidate demonstrators. However, this has not stopped the continuation of the protests. According to unofficial estimates, hundreds of prisoners in Iran are facing imminent execution through swift procedures that do not meet the standards of fair trials. Iran leads the world in the execution of death sentences, often without a fair trial, a practice that has drawn widespread international criticism.

His prose resonates as a defiant call for a world that upholds the inherent rights of every individual, irrespective of their ethnic roots or background.
