Iranian occupation regime’s arrests continue against Ahwazi people

According to reliable sources from occupied Al-Ahwaz (South Ilam, Khuzestan, Bushehr and Hormozgan provinces in current so-called Iranian map) informed the Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights (ACHR), the Iranian occupation intelligence service has arrested the number of Ahwazi men and took them to an unknown destination in recent days.

First: 

Mr. Farhan Haidari, 57years old, son of Abed, a resident of “Pedris” neighborhood of Ahwaz capital, was arrested by the Iranian occupation intelligence forces at the Imam Airport in the Tehran capital on the morning of Wednesday, December 02, 2020.

Farhan Haidari has a residency and work permit in Kuwait for the purpose of work and staying in that country. Recently, people planning to travel to Kuwait have to quarantine for 14 days in a third country due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus and then have the right to enter Kuwait.

According to Farhan’s friends who were with him on this trip said, “When the plane arrived in Tehran from Ahwaz on Wednesday morning the 2nd of December 2020 at Imam Airport, he was detained by several plainclothes men at the airport and taken to an unknown location.

The ACHR ha understand that Mr Farhan is an uncle of Ahwazi detainee named as Jassem Haidari who has been arrested in 2017.

Second:

According to the ACHR, reliable sources stated that another Ahwazi young has been arrested on Tuesday the 1st of December 2020.

Mr. Mohammad Alboebadi son of Nasser and resident of “Al-Kurah” city was arrested without prior notice and took to an unknown destination on Tuesday the 1st of December 2020.

So far, the ACHR could not know the exact reason behind the arrest of Ahwazi young but the experience says that the Iranian occupation regime has launched a pre-emptive raid of arrests against Ahwazi young to spread the state of horror and fear among Ahwazi young.

Third:

A wide-spread arrest campaign continued against Ahwazi young in different cities and villages of occupied Al-Ahwaz in which the intelligence service has arrested two brothers on Monday the 30th of November 2020.

Mr. Sayed Sami Alboghdaymi son of Sayed Mohsen and resident of “Rofayea” city along with his brother Mr. Sayed Yousef Alboghdaymi and resident of “Akhar Asphalt” neighborhood of Ahwaz capital, and Mr. Sayed Hadi Mousawi, all been arrested on Monday 30th of November 2020 and taken to an unknown location.

There is no news about their arrests or their whereabouts so far.

Fourth:

The Iranian occupation intelligence service arrested Mr. Jamal Al-Kaabi resident of the Ahwaz capital without prior notice, on Wednesday morning, November 25, 2020.

Mr. Al-Kaabi has been arrested once prior to his current arrest in which heavily armed groups from the intelligence service of the so-called Revolutionary Guard affiliated with the occupation authorities raided Mr. Jamal Al-Kaabi’s house on 4th of December 2017, threatening all members of his family, women, and children, with weapons, tampering with his home and violating his sanctity, then took him by force of arms to an unknown place.

after Mr. Kaabi’s arrest in 2017, the occupation courts sentenced him to 15-month imprisonment. Detainee Jamal Al-Kaabi spent several months between 2017 and 2018 and was subjected to physical and psychological torture like the rest of the Ahwazi detainees, then he was released on an expensive financial bail.

In a similar context, the Iranian occupation intelligence service has arrested an Ahwazi child and took him to an unknown destination. 

Ahwazi child Amir Dabbat (Kaabi), 15 years old and resident of “Khashan” village of Susa (Shush Persian name) city on Wednesday noon, November 25, 2020. The child’s family did not understand the reason for their child’s arrest.

Fifth:

The Iranian arrest operation intensified in “Jarahi” city that is adjacent to Ma’ashour “Mahshahr in Persian” city in which the intelligence service has arrested a number of Ahwazi young, according to eyewitnesses.

Mr. Hassan Sharifat in his twenties of age was arrested on Tuesday the 24th of November 2020 and took to an unknown location up to the writing the current report.

Mr. Sharifat has been arrest by 9 am Ahwazi local time and while he was standing near to his friend shop in “Jarahi” city.

Mr. Sharifat’s family is unaware of the reason for their son’s arrest so far.

Sixth:

Ali Mansouri, 36, son of Abbas, a doctoral student in history from the Ahwaz capital’s neighborhood of “Pardis”, was arrested by the Iranian occupation Intelligence service and taken to an unknown location on Sunday the 22nd of November 2020.

Local sources quoted to ACHR that; “This is the eighth time that Mansouri has been arrested, and after the incident of Ahwazi Military Parade in 2018, he was arrested by IRGC intelligence and was released on bail of 10 billion rials six months ago that is in May 2020.

In the same day, that is Sunday the 22nd of November 2020, the Iranian intelligence service has arrested another three Ahwazi young from “Malashiyeh” neighbourhood of Ahwaz capital and took them to unknown destination.

Mr. Jalil Korushat, 36 years old, son of Khayon and married, Mr. Ali Amouri, 24 years old, son of Fakher and married, Mr. Sadegh Khazraji, 23 years old, and all detainees from Malashiyeh” neighborhood of Ahwaz capital were arrested simultaneously by Iranian occupation intelligence service. 

Seventh:

The Iranian occupation intelligence regime has arrested the Ahwazi poet, Mr. Mustafa Al-Hilichi son of Jamal on Sunday the 1st of November 2020, and up to this point, his fate is unknown. The family of the prisoner Al- Hilichi appeals to human rights and humanitarian organizations to urgently intervene to pressure Iran to reveal his fate and to open the way for them to visit him in detention.

Prisoner Mustafa Al- Hilichi is an Ahwazi poet and cultural activist in Al-Ahwaz and a member of the Arab Poets’ Initiative. He is 25 years old and a resident of the “Kut Abdullah” neighborhood and working as an apartment guard. His wife gave birth shortly after his arrest and so far, he has not been able to see his child.

the Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights strongly condemns the arbitrary arrests campaign against Ahwazi young and calls for international organizations to put pressure on the Iranian regime to stop its heinous crimes against defend less Ahwazi people.
