Al-Ahwaz presents in conference of “arbitrary arrests in the developing world” in Italy

By supervision of law college of Italian University of Padova, conference of “arbitrary arrests in the developing world” has been organised on Thursday 20 August 2015.

The Conference was about arbitrary detention in international law with an administration of British professor Mr John and broadcast through video conferencing for seven European universities, with participants from a large number of academics and jurists from 33 countries around the world.

 

Among the participants were the Lawyer Shatha Jreisat, member and representative of Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights has got speech for 20 minute and

during her speech, the lawyer pointed the Ahwazi Arab

suffering, persecution and arbitrary arrests carried out against them by the Iranian security services and affect Ahwazis when they give a speech or a poem, or their traditional uniforms attendance  in the sports places.

These few words have been enough to raise ire of the Iranian delegate present at the conference, and a accused lawyer of fabricating facts and interference in the internal affairs of his country. in reply Mrs Jreisat said that she has enough evidence (Ahmad Sabhan an Ahwazi poet) that can prove these crimes practised against Ahwazi Arab people.

The conference director, Mr John has asked the Iranian delegation about the credibility of their claim, where he mentioned that Iranian authorities have deported  British people from Iran due to celebrating Christmas and placing Christmas tree in from of their door.

The Iranian representative did not answer the question with the pretext of does not have any information about the issue.

Mr Samir Hadad, a Lebanese representative, also was present at this conference and spoken about Iranian-back Hizbollah group and their arbitrary arrest against Lebanese and what Lebanese are suffering from this terrorist group.

It is worth to mention  that the University of Padova is a premier Italian university located in the city of Padua, Italy. The University of Padua was founded in 1222 as a school of law and was one of the most prominent universities in early modern Europe.
