Ahwazi prisoner demands urgent treatment that been denied by Iranian prison guard

Ali Manbouhi, an Ahwazi Arab political activist from Hamidiyeh City, was arrested in 1999 – 2000. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison in Kerman Prison of” Jiroft”, on charges of “Moharebeh with God” and acting against national security in the Revolutionary Court of Ahwaz.

Ali Manbouhi with a number of Ahwazi political activists were sentenced in 1999 – 2000 in the Iranian Revolutionary Court, where some of them executed and some such as Rahim Afrawi are still serving their term of imprisonment, and some of them were able to survive the Iranian execution machine.

Ali Manbouhi, who was sentenced to 25 years in prison, spent most of his convictions in the Ahwaz Karoon prison of and the Kerman central prison of Jiroft, along with Rahim Afrawi and recently transferred to Sheyban prison that is known as (Ahwaz Complex).

Ali suffers from chronic illnesses such as diabetes and lipids (high cholesterol), which is in difficult conditions due to the prison conditions and the lack of minimum conditions for prisoners such as lack of proper food, the lack of clean health services and the lack of medical care.

Ali Manbouhi is in critical condition due to heart problems and needs surgery, but the prison authorities do not allow him to be transferred to the hospital, although doctors who have visited the prison have confirmed their need for surgery.
