Despite intense Persian Security Pressure, Ahwazis protesting for their own rights

Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights confirms that the on the 20th of September 2017 Ahwazi Arab workers protested in front of the Islamic Consultative Assembly in Kut Abdullah, Ahwaz.

 The Islamic Consultative Assembly (also known as Majles-e Showrā-ye Eslāmī‎), also called the Iranian Parliament, the Iranian Majlis, is the national legislative body of Iran.

Our source said that the Arab workers were subjected to inhumane treatment by Iranian intelligence forces and police, which tried to break the protests several times using force.

The sources added that the Iranian intelligence forces have detained three of the Arab workers who played important roles in organizing and advocacy of the protests since the beginning of the protests.

The workers have not received their monthly salaries for three months.

Ahwazi Arab workers protested in front of the Islamic Consultative Assembly in Kut Abdullah, Ahwaz because in the recent months they did not receive any monthly salaries.
