Iranian police raided the house of an Ahwazi citizen in Abadan and assaulted his family

According to reliable source stated to Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights (ACHR) that the Iranian police raided the house of an Ahwazi citizen in Abadan city and clashed with the family members without any reason, which led to the injury of the family’s father.

According to sources from Abadan, members of the Iranian police led by Colonel “Faryadras”, head of the number 11 Abadan police station, after storming the house of an Ahwazi citizen and beating him in front of his family members announced that they have entered the house in wrong and left Ahwazi men injured in front of his house without offering an apology or even help the wounded men.

It should be noted that the Iranian intelligence and police always intentional storming the houses in various cities of Al-Ahwaz without any reasons, to spread terror among the people after the expansion of the Ahwazi movement against Iranian presence in Al-Ahwaz, and always in such raids many Ahwazi citizens are wounded and injured by the Iranian police that left hidden under Iranian intelligence pressure.

International laws and covenants prohibit all arbitrary measures to preserve personal rights and freedoms and inviolability of homes. These laws urge states to protect citizens. As stated in article 12 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights:

“No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his private life, family, home, correspondence or campaigns in his honour and reputation, and everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or campaign”.

Article 17 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights explicitly states that:

*. No one shall be subjected to arbitrary or unlawful interference with his or her privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to any unlawful attacks affecting his honour or reputation.

*. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks.

What is happening in Ahwaz is a prominent example of hatred and racial discrimination of the modern era. The attached video reveals the exposure of one of the Ahwaz families in Abadan city, a simple example of the daily suffering of Ahwaz citizens under Iranian occupation.
