Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights condemns the random arrest and barbaric torture against Ahwazi Arab football fans
Iranian security forces have launched mass arbitrary arrests against Ahwazi fans that welcomed Saudi Al Hilal team in Alghadir stadium on 17-03-2015.
The security forces had begun the arrest against those who wore traditional Arabic dress where it led to conflict between fans and security forces. Reports say that the numbers of arrested are more than thousand detainee and the security forces has targeted the fans by live bullet. Ahwazi activist has published videos on social network indicate that two Ahwazi fans has died as result of live bullet.
Ahwazi fans chanted for Al Hilal team and Saudi Arabia, and raised banner that bearing the phrase «Arabic Al Hilal, welcome you in the land of Al-Ahwaz Arab», which sparked the anger of the security men in the match stadium.
Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights condemns the Iranian security forces and police’s attack and arbitrary arrests that have taken place against Ahwazi fans and security forces and the police will holds all the consequences and responsibility for safeguarding the lives of all detainee who just welcomed the Saudi football team.
