Deteriorating situation of Yousef Sawari in Sheiban Prison

Yousef Sawari, Ahwazi prisoner, suffers from abdominal and kidney problems in Ahwaz Central Prison. He is being transferred to the prison ward due to his deteriorating condition, but for two days the medical authorities did nothing for him without medical treatment and transfer him to the hospital.

Yousef had been taken to hospital earlier due to his deterioration due to severe torture.

Yousef Sawari, 29, the son of Mehdi, married, has one child, resident of Abu Hamizeh, Dast Maysan (dashteh Azadegan), was summoned several times by the Iranian Intelligence headquarters for his cultural and civil activities, and was arrested on November 8, 2018 by the IRGC.

After more than a month of physical and mental torture, Yousef Sawari has been transferred from the IRGC detention center to the Sheiban prison and has not been issued a sentence yet. He remains in custody on bail despite his bail of 5 billion rials has not been processed.
