Ahwazi Arab cultural activist Hanna Khersaan has been summoned by Ettela’at.
Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights sources from Ahwaz confirmed that on Tuesday the 30th of May 2017 Hanna Khersaan has been summoned by The Ministry of Intelligence of the Islamic Republic of Iran (also known as Vezarat-e Ettela’at Jomhuri-ye Eslami-ye Iran).
Hanna 35 years old from Farhangshahr – Ahwaz. She is an activist and director of the cultural group called Navares. Our sources also added that Ettela’at took Hanna to unknown location and there is no news from her. Her family, relative and friends are very concern about Hanna.
Hanna with her cultural group were filming a movie of one of the Arabic traditional ceremonies called “Gergeann”.
Also, recently on the 25th of April, the Ettela’at also arrested a young Arab, Hamud Dubai 21 years old in Toster city. His family is very concerned as they have no idea where their loved one is.
On the 13th of May 2017, the Ettela’at also arrested two young Ahwazians, Maysam Khasraji and Reza Zoeedaat from city of Ahwaz – Mallashiyeh suburb. Their families are very concerned as they have no idea where their loved ones are.
In similar part the Iranian Revolutionary Court in Ahwaz issued 3 years of prison and exile for three Ahwazi Arab civil activists in Al-Ahwaz.
All activists were arrested at their homes by the Iranian intelligence forces on Monday, 16 January 2017.
Department 4 of the Revolutionary Court in Ahwaz capital, headed by Judge Pour Mohammadi accused three Ahwazi Arabs civil activists named as Mr. Issa Damny (Haddad), Mr. Mujahid Zergani and Mr. Hossein (Naji) Haidari of spreading propaganda against the Iranian regime and establishing non-governmental organisations.
Judge of the department 4 of the Revolutionary Court in Ahwaz capital sentenced Mr. Issa Damny to one-year imprisonment in addition to serve his sentence in exile to the city of “Tekab” in the northwest of Iran. This sentence issued on 25 May 2017.
Mr. Issa Damny 43 years old and has two children, a journalist and Arabic teacher, living in Ahwaz capital. Mr. Damny has participated in multiple scientific seminars and lectures. He also held the Arabic language classes for poor Ahwazi student.
Mr. Mujahid Zergani 36-year-old father of a child, a poet, a resident of the Zergan city in north Ahwaz also been sentenced to one-year imprisonment. Mr. Zergani a student of Arabic language and literature in university and was the owner of a shop as well as one of the founders of a charitable society.
One year of prison to Husain (Naji) Heidari, 38, has two children, a teacher and translator of Arabic Language and Literature, resident of Masha’sli area in southeast of Ahwaz city civil and cultural activist and a rewarded teacher of Arabic literacy in the Ahwaz capital also been sentenced to one-year imprisonment..
