255 years collective imprisonment for Ahwazi military parade attacker’s families and relatives

According to confidential information received by the Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights (ACHR) unveiling that relative of the military parade attackers has been sentenced to collective imprisonment of 255 years on Saturday the 23rd of January 2021.

reliable sources have been informed the ACHR that the Iranian Revolutionary Court in Ahwaz capital has sentenced 17 members of the families and relatives of the attackers to 15 years in prison each. The verdicts are only against the families of Iyad Mansouri, Fouad Mansouri, and Ahmad Mansouri.

The sources also stated that each of the individuals was sentenced to 15 years in prison by the Iranian Revolutionary Court. These sentences are currently on appeal and review but according to the experience, the collective imprisonments won’t change.

In September 2018, according to the Iranian News Agency, all the attackers were killed, but the families and relatives of the attackers, including the wives along with their children, fathers, mothers, and cousins of the attackers, were detained and tortured barbarically by security agencies and sentenced to severe and long-term sentences in the Iranian Revolutionary Court.

A confidential source within the Revolutionary Court in Ahwaz says: “These verdicts have been strange even for some employees of the Revolutionary Court because none of the attackers’ relative was in the incident or aware of the attack.”

Some of the attackers ‘friends are still behind the prison’s bars since September 2018, because the attackers’ said goodbye to them the day before the incident and also because of their normal friendship with attackers.

Hours after the attack on the parade, Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) along with the intelligence service released scenes related to the parade, claiming that they had arrested individuals affiliated with the attackers. It has recently been revealed that these people are the same families and relatives of the attackers.

On Saturday the 22nd of September 2018 and while the IRGC forces were maneuvering in the streets of Ahwaz capital, four attackers have opened fire towards the forces and killed and injured numbers of the forces and all attackers were killed by the Iranian intelligence service but the attackers’ families along with their children, relatives and their friend since the incident are still behind prison’s bars even with no crime they committed.
