Identifying names of four Ahwazi brothers arrested during November 2019 uprising

The Ahwazi Centre for Human Rights through its local sources has identified four names of brothers from Mohammareh (Khorramshahr Persian name) city that been arrested during the November 2019 fuel uprising.

The four brothers that are in their twenties and all single, were participate peacefully in the November 2019 demonstration and were arrested by Iranian IRGC and Basij militias and took to unknown destination.

According to the reliable source stated that the detainees’ family is living in severe impoverishment and were unable to appoint lawyer to defend them in the informal and baseless Iranian occupation courts. The detainees’ family has searched all the Iranian relevant departments in Mohammareh city to be sure that their sons are alive, but did not find any spot from their beloved ones.

The first and elder brother named Mohammad Helfi with the age of 28.

The second brother named Ali Helfi with the age of 27.

The third brother named as Hassan Helfi with the age of 24.

The fourth brother named as Hossein Helfi with the age of 19.

The family of the detainees was disappointed despite wide search about their sons until realized that their beloved ones were sentenced from one and a half years (18 months) to four and a half years.

The source said the detainees’ father Mr. Jasem Helfi is an old man and unable to work to provide basic life necessities and his sons were helping him while some of them were working.

The detainees’ parent calling upon United Nations Special Rapporteur on the human rights situation in Iran Mr. Javiad Rehman to put pressure on Iran to release their beloved ones to help the family during the difficult times that they are in.
